You want to mine with your graphic card or own a special ASIC mining device for scrypt algorithm? Please follow the respective section.

Mining with your graphic card (X11 mining)

  1. What do i need to mine LTC through X11 algorithm?
    • You need a PC (2-4Gb RAM, cheap CPU, cheap motherboard with some PCI-E slots and a power supply having extra power cables for graphic cards). To start comfortable, we recommend to use Windows 7/8, because graphic card install is easy.
    • Best graphic cards (price vs. hashrate): AMD R9 280x or HD7950 or HD7970
    • All other AMD graphic cards also work fine. You can mine with NVIDIA cards, but you get lower hashrate of a compareable AMD card and configuration is harder.
  2. Create account
    • Register here, or login if you already have account
    • Create a worker (choose X11 algorithm instead of scrypt) that will be used by the miner to login
  3. Download special X11 miner (preconfigured for LTCRabbit)
    • X11 USB mining OS installation & configuration. Read this.
    • CCMiner (Nvidia) needs special DLL install. Read this.
  4. Edit bat file and start mining
    • Right click on file "start_mining_ltcrabbit.bat" and click edit
    • Enter your individual worker credentials and save the file
    • Double click on "start_mining_ltcrabbit.bat" to start mining
    setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
    setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
    .\sgminer\sgminer.exe -k x11mod -o x11.ltcrabbit.com:3332 -u username.workername -p password -I 18 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --lookup-gap 2 --vectors 1
    Available X11 stratum server:
    x11.ltcrabbit.com:3332 (Main)

    • Download the Litecoin client from the official site. Generate a new address and input it on your account page to receive payments.

I own a special ASIC miner (SCRYPT mining)

  1. What do i need to mine LTC through scrypt algorithm?
    • Scrypt mining requires specialized ASIC miner
    • Graphic card mining scrypt is not profitable anymore
    • Following trusted companys offer scrypt ASIC miner: Alpha-T, KNCMiner and Gridseed
  2. Create account
    • Register here, or login if you already have account
    • Create a worker (choose scrypt algorithm) that will be used by the miner to login
  3. Enter one of our scrypt stratum server to your ASIC miner interface

scrypt.ltcrabbit.com:3333 (128-8192 variable difficulty, recommended for hashrate < 15 MH)
    scrypt.ltcrabbit.com:3335 (1028 fixed difficulty, ASICs, > 15 MH)
    scrypt.ltcrabbit.com:3336 (2048 fixed difficulty, ASICs, > 30 MH)
    scrypt.ltcrabbit.com:3337 (4096 fixed difficulty, ASICs), > 50 MH)
    scrypt.ltcrabbit.com:3338 (8192 fixed difficulty, ASICs), > 100 MH)
    lowdiff.ltcrabbit.com:80 (16 fixed difficulty, cpuminer/behind firewall)

    Username: YourLoginUsername.WorkerName
    Password: WorkerPassword

(Please refer to the manual of your ASIC miner where to enter this data)

  4. Create a Litecoin address to receive payments.
    • Download the Litecoin client from the official site. Generate a new address and input it on your account page to receive payments.

Further information

Get CCMiner (Nvidia) running (refers to X11 mining section)

Some additional steps have to be taken to get CCMiner working:

1. Download "CCMiner-LTCRabbit-V2" and extract it
2. Download and install "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012":
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
IMPORTANT: use correct file "vcredist_x86.exe"

3. Check the following page to determine the "Compute version" your Nvidia GPU supports:
https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus

4. Right click on file "start_mining_ltcrabbit.bat" and click edit

5. Depending on your compute version, change the name of the command to ccminer21.exe, ccminer30.exe, ccminer35.exe or , ccminer50.exe

6. Enter your individual worker credentials and save the file

7. Make sure you have installed latest drivers for your GPU:
http://www.nvidia.de/Download/index.aspx?lang=en

9. Double click on "start_mining_ltcrabbit.bat" to start mining
